Dolfin Swimwear and Swim Across America Team Up to Fight Cancer

Dolfin Swimwear is pleased to announce its partnership with Swim Across America in its fight against cancer.

“It’s heartbreaking when we hear of friends and colleagues affected by cancer,” says Matt Zimmer, VP Sales & Marketing for Dolfin. “Swim Across America provides a platform that the swimming community can swim and generate donations that is funding much-needed cancer research, and we are proud to support the cause.”

Founded in 1987, Swim Across America (SAA) hosts more than 70 open water and pool benefit swims. Participants are asked to meet fundraising minimums with the proceeds donated to fund clinical trials and research. For 2016, SAA granted $4.6 million and since inception SAA has awarded more than $65 million in grants.

“We appreciate Dolfin joining the fight against cancer,” commented Rob Butcher, CEO for Swim Across America. “Their donations and promotion will help us fund more research that can lead to new ways we treat and cure this dreaded disease.”

About Swim Across America

SAA funds clinical trials, pilot projects and cancer research that otherwise might not be funded. With data, researchers are able to apply for additional funding from the National Institute of Health, biotech, pharmaceutical and other foundations. SAA beneficiaries have applied our grants into numerous breakthroughs that have translated into more than an estimated $200 million in new funding they might not otherwise have received. More than 120 Olympians have supported and participated in SAA benefit swims.
