Dylan Bosch Named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week

Big Ten swimmer of the week went to Michigan’s Dylan Bosch after he won the 100 fly (48.04) and 200 fly (1:44.91) against Duke, Georgia Tech, and Indiana in a quad meet. Also collecting weekly honors were Colin Zeng, diver of the week, and Joe Cifelli and Carter Page, co-freshmen of the week.

Swimmer of the Week

Dylan Bosch, Michigan

Sr. – Johannesburg, South Africa – Crawford College, Sandton

  • Collected a pair of first-place finishes in the 200-yard butterfly (1:44.91) and 100-yard butterfly (48.04), added a second-place touch in the 200-yard individual medley (1:48.22) and placed fourth in the 200-yard medley relay (1:29.23) in a quad meet win over Duke, Georgia Tech and Indiana
  • Times in all three individual events are NCAA provisional qualifying times
  • The Academic All-Big Ten honoree earns his eighth career Swimmer of the Week honor
  • Last Michigan Swimmer of the Week: Chris Klein (Jan. 6, 2016)

Diver of the Week

Colin Zeng, Ohio State 

So. – Fujian, China

  • Recorded a pair of wins in the one-meter diving event (370.95) and three-meter event (404.10) in a dual meet against Michigan State
  • Scores in both events are NCAA Zone Diving qualifying marks
  • Earns his third career Diver of the Week honor
  • Last Ohio State Diver of the Week: Colin Zeng (Nov. 25, 2015)

Co-Freshmen of the Week

Carter Page, Northwestern 

Sarasota, Fla. – Riverview

  • Recorded a pair of wins in the 1,000-yard freestyle (9:22.93) and 500-yard freestyle (4:35.01) in a dual meet at Notre Dame
  • Finished over eight seconds faster than the runner-up in the 1,000-yard freestyle
  • Earns his second career Freshman of the Week honor
  • Last Northwestern Freshman of the Week: Carter Page (Oct. 28, 2015)

Joe Cifelli, Purdue 

Crown Point, Ind. – Marian Catholic

  • Recorded a pair of wins in the one-meter diving event (356.40) and three-meter event (356.93) in a dual meet against Eastern Michigan
  • Scored more than 50 points ahead of the Eastern Michigan competitors in both events
  • Scores in both events are NCAA Zone Diving qualifying marks
  • Earns his fifth career Freshman of the Week honor
  • Last Purdue Freshman of the Week: Erik Juliusson (Jan. 6, 2016)
