Dynamo’s Andrew Simmons (2021) Makes Verbal Commitment to Auburn

Fitter and Faster Swim Clinics is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Andrew Simmons from Johns Creek, Georgia has announced his verbal commitment to Auburn University for 2021-22. He will join Fletcher Hayes, Grant Davis, and Nate Stoffle in the class of 2025.

“I am honored and excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and further my studies at Auburn University! Thank you to my family, friends, and coaches who have helped me along the way. War Eagle! #WDE”

Simmons is a junior at Johns Creek High School where he is a two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American. He was runner-up in the 200 IM (1:52.57) and placed 4th in the 100 back (53.37) as a sophomore at the 2019 Georgia High School 6-7A State Championships. He led off the state-champion 200 medley relay (23.80) and swam a leg (47.29) on the winning 400 free relay.

Simmons does his club swimming with Dynamo Swim Club. Simmons is just shy of scoring at SEC Championships, but not far off the mark. It took 47.71/1:44.31 in the backstroke events and 1:46.47/3:50.06 in the IMs to get a second swim at the 2019 conference meet.
