EC Lions end season with Win

WOMEN

The Emmanuel College Lady Lions hosted Warren Wilson College on Saturday, February 1, 2014 in their final home event for the 2013-2014 season.  Emmanuel won the dual meet, outscoring Warren Wilson 110-84.

The Lady Lions honored their senior, Justine Wright, whom Head Coach Gilchrest described as being joy-filled in all that she does.  “Justine is an excellent two sport athlete who brought her work ethic into the pool this season.”

The Lady Lions will compete at the New South Conference Championships at Delta State University February 19-22 to begin their post season competition.

MEN

The Emmanuel College Lions hosted Warren Wilson College on Saturday, February 1, 2014 in their final home event for the 2013-2014 season.  Emmanuel won the dual meet, outscoring Warren Wilson 106-67.

The Lions honored their lone senior, Keene Johnson, whom Head Coach Gilchrest described using the word “servant.”  “Keene was the very first swimmer to commit to the EC swim program and has been an asset to our inaugural season” said Coach Gilchrest.

The Emmanuel College Lions finished in first place in 9 out of 10 events against Warren Wilson College.
