Elizabeth Tilt Decommits from Kentucky; Joins Georgia Class of 2027

Marietta, Georgia native Elizabeth Tilt has decommitted from Kentucky (originial commitment article here) and opted to remain in-state to attend the University of Georgia next fall. She wrote on social media:

Tilt is a senior at Lassiter High School. She won the 200 IM (2:01.32) and 100 fly (53.83) at the 2023 Georgia High School 6A State Championships, capping off a prep career that included state four 6A titles in the fly (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023) and three in the 200 IM (2021, 2022, 2023). She is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.

Tilt trains year-round with Chattahoochee Gold Swim Club. She is highly versatile, with SEC-ready times in IM, free, and fly. We named her to the Honorable Mention section of our list of top-20 recruits from the high school class of 2023.

She was an A finalist in both the 100 free (49.54) and 100 fly (53.12) and a B finalist in the 50 free (22.85) at 2022 Winter Juniors East. Last summer, she placed seventh in the 50 free (25.82) and sixth in the 100 fly (1:00.05) at Summer Junior Nationals, a week after finishing third in the 50 free (25.90), third in the 200 free (2:01.03), second in the 100 fly (59.55), and sixth in the 400 IM (4:50.22) at Cary Futures. Most recently, she improved her 200 free (1:47.19) and 50 fly (24.41) times at NCSA Spring Championships, where she finaled in the 100 free (10th), 200 free (3rd), 50 fly (17th), 100 fly (10th), and 400 IM (15th).

Helena Jones has also committed to the Bulldogs’ class of 2027. Tilt would have been UGA’s fastest 400 IMer by two seconds last year; she would have ranked second in the 50 free, third in the 100 free, and fourth in the 200 IM.
