Emilia Morris Commits to DII Northern Michigan University

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Emilia Morris, a current high school senior from East Lansing, Michigan, has committed to swim for Division II Northern Michigan University. Morris will graduate from Okemos High School in May 2020 and join the Wildcats’ class of 2024.

Morris currently swims for Mid-Michigan Aquatics under coach Ian Townsend. Upon joining NMU in fall 2020, Morris will be coached by Heidi Voigt. Currently, NMU boasts 47 National Champions.

Best Times in Yards:

  • 50 freestyle – 24.58
  • 100 freestyle – 52.80
  • 200 freestyle – 2:00.35

With her current best times, Morris would have had multiple finals performances with the Wildcats at the 2019 GLIAC Championships. Morris would have placed 10th in the 100 freestyle (52.80) and 14th in the 50 freestyle (24.58).

At the GLIAC Championships this year, the Wildcats placed 2nd as a team.

Morris will begin her swimming career at Northern Michigan University beginning fall 2020.
