Emma Carlton and Daniel Roy were the high point award winners at this weekend’s Pacific Northwest Swimming LSC Washington Senior Short Course Champs over the weekend.

Carlton from the Bellingham Bay Swim Team won 4 individual events, including breaking the meet record in the 100 fly with a 52.83. That took a full second from her previous lifetime best done at Winter Juniors just a week earlier, as well as the 54.0 she swam to win the Washington 4A High School State title earlier in the fall.

She also grabbed wins in the 100 free (50.27), 50 fly (24.05) and 50 free (23.05): all of which were lifetime bests. She was also a part of 3 title-winning relays, which included a 22.33 split on the 200 free relay.

On the boys’ side of the pool, Roy, from the home team King Aquatic Club, won 5 individual events, with a time of 25.59 in the 50 yard breaststroke.

His other 4 wins were all just short of his lifetime bests from a week earlier at Winter Jrs in College Station, but not by much. He won the 100 breast in 54.68, the 400 IM in 3:54.95, the 200 breast in 1:56.23, and the 200 IM in 1:49.29. He did grab a lifetime best in the 50 free with a 22.40.

The King Aquatic Club dominated overall scoring, winning both the men’s, women’s, and combined scoring titles.
