ROME, Ga. – The Emmanuel College swim teams traveled to Berry College on Saturday October 19, 2019. The dual meet consisted of 14 swimming events. Emmanuel took the win on both sides, winning 187-79 on the men’s side and 189-86 on the women’s side.
The Emmanuel men finished 1st in 12 out of the 14 swimming events contested, and 7 different EC male swimmers earned 1st place during the meet. The men also broke 5 pool records.
RESULTS:
In the 200 medley relay, the A relay (Rosa, Courteaux, Dantas, Sobers) finished 1st in a pool record (1:33.91) the B relay (Brown, Jones, Reyman, Varrie) finished 3rd (1:41.15)
In the 1000 free, Joao Santos finished 1st (9:43.73), Xzavier Reiter 2nd (10:05.21), Harrison Andrews 4th (11:10.67)
In the 200 free, Igor Dantas finished 1st in a pool record (1:38.32), Alex Sobers 2nd (1:41.82), Pedro Terra 3rd (1:47.84)
In the 100 back, Thiago Rosa finished 1st in a pool record (50.42), Harrison Andrews 5th (1:06.38), Simon Roberts 6th (1:07.22)
In the 100 breast, Theo Courteaux finished 1st (59.19), Robert Jones 2nd (1:03.18), Simon Roberts 3rd (1:14.88)
In the 200 fly, Xzavier Reiter finished 1st (1:58.16), Alasdair McGhee 3rd (2:06.11), David Brown 4th (2:13.28)

The Emmanuel Lady Lions finished 1st in 13 out of the 14 swimming events contested, and 9 different EC female swimmers earned 1st place during the meet. The ladies also broke 3 pool records.
RESULTS:
In the 200 medley relay, the B relay (Calka, Aloisio, Hunter, Davidson) finished 1st (1:51.15) the A relay (Ostojska, Simioni, Hayes, Arnold) finished 2nd (1:51.49) both breaking the pool record. The C relay (Svonja, Pieterse, Carta, Rodriguez) finished 4th (2:02.83)
