The EMU Eagle men have added another commitment in their quest to stay on top of the Mid-American Conference, this time landing in-state talent Parker Saladin.

Parker swims with the Bridgman Co-op High School team as well as with Irish Aquatics at Notre Dame, Indiana.  Parker was an All-State Selection in the 200 IM during his junior season, and placed 9th in the 100 fly both his sophomore and junior years.  He has shown a lot of improvement over the last three years, and may just be able to develop in nearly any event Coach Linn might need him in.  Parker’s 400 IM would have placed him in the B-final at the MAC last year, and he is within striking range in several other events.

Parker is a Winter Junior National qualifier in the 200 LCM Butterfly, and has competed at Futures and NCSA Junior Nationals as well.

“I chose Eastern Michigan because of the connection I made with the team and Coach Peter Linn.  Looking forward to continuing my swimming career with such a strong history of success in the pool and classroom.  Excited for the next four years!  Go Eagles!!”

Parker’s top times (SCY):

50 free 21.93

100 free 49.19

200 free 1:43.94

100 fly 51.94

200 fly 1:52.43

200 back 1:55.10

200 IM 1:54.30
