European Aquatics announced a majority of its schedule for the 2025 calendar year. The short course European Swimming Championships will be held in Szczecin, Poland from December 2-7.
There are no long course European Championships as the meet was held this past summer in Belgrade, Serbia and the next meet will be held in Paris-St Denis during summer 2026.
This will be Szczecin’s second time hosting after also hosting back in 2011. The city is located in northwest Poland, located near the German border as well as the Baltic Sea. Poland was notably home to the European Junior Diving Championships in July 2024 in Rzeszow.
The 2nd edition of the U23 Swimming Championships will take place in Slovakia. The meet made its debut in August 2023 in Dublin, Ireland. Just days after U23 finishes up, Slovakia will also host the European Junior Swimming Championships. European Aquatics stated that this back to back scheduling “will concentrate attention and be cost efficient.”
