The 4-day Danish Open Short Course Championships are almost upon us, with over 350 swimmers representing 58 clubs about to enter the Esbjerg pool.

Athletes are vying for national titles, but also qualifying times to make the Danish roster for the European Short Course Championships slated for early December in Glasgow, Scotland. This meet is also a qualifying opportunity for the Nordic Championships set for the Faroe Islands November 29th through December 1st.

The qualifying times for each of the aforementioned SC Euros are found at the bottom of this post.

Although powerhouse Danish athletes Pernille Blume, Jeanette Ottesen and Anton Ipsen are absent from this meet and have special circumstance deals worked out with the federation, the host nation will still have some top talent in the water.

Emilie Beckmann, Viktor Bromer, Sofie Hansen, Julie Jensen, Mie Nielsen, Tobias Bjerg, Helena Rosendahl Bach and Alexander Norgaard are all expected to race in Esbjerg this weekend.

17 swimmers from Turkey are also on the entry lists, highlighted by multi-national record holder and 3-time European Youth Olympic Festival gold medalist Beril Böcekler.
