Jordan Greenberg, an ex-diving sprint freestyler from Minnesota, has committed to Stanford University’s class of 2021. Greenberg trains on Aquajets Swim Team under coach Kate Lundsten and Eden Prairie High School under coach Kelly Boston.
“Stanford has always been my dream school. The academics are second to none and there’s tremendous support from the coaches, team and academic advisors. The team itself has been extremely successful in and out of the pool, so my trip there just reassured me that this is the best place for me to learn, grow, and develop as a student-athlete. Go Card!”

Greenberg is from Eden Prairie, the fourth sibling to swim in college; two swam at the University of Minnesota, and brother Aaron Greenberg is back at Yale after a year in Israel trying to make the Israeli Olympic Team.
Greenberg took a 3-year break from swimming in 2010 to pursue his passion for diving. After just three years in the sport he placed 7th in the Minnesota high school state championship as an 8th grader, and went on that year to qualify for USA Diving’s Age Group National Championship on 1 meter and 3 meter springboards. He took swimming up again in 2013, and by 2016 rose to the top of the high school ranks in the 50 free. He won the 50 free at the MSHSL Boys AA Swim & Dive Championships (20.42) and anchored Eden Prairie’s 200 medley relay in 19.93, contributing to their state record-breaking performance.
Greenberg was an A-finalist in the 50 free at 2016 Speedo Summer Juniors, and led off the Aquajets’ 400 free relay that won the national title. A year ago he represented Team USA at the European Maccabi Games in Berlin, Germany.
His best times (SCY/LCM) are:
- 50 free – 20.42/23.64
- 100 free – 45.01/52.67
Alberto Mestre, Alex Liang, Brennan Pastorek, Glen Cowand, and Matthew Hirschberger have also verbally committed to Stanford University for 2017-18.
