Feel Good Swimming Story For the Holiday Season (Video)

Dr. Andrew Chadeayne is a former DI swimmer and the Founder/CEO of SwimSpray. He’s been a SwimSwam partner since we launched, and he’s the best kind of partner, someone who really loves swimming and just being a part of the sport.

From time-to-time we get media from Andrew, and sometimes it is exceptional content. Please watch the video above.  It covers a lot of themes in swimming from my point of view:

  • swimming, globally, is a family
  • talent and passionate for the sport always surprises, always inspires
  • using your swim experience to give back is why our sport continues to grow and evolve
  • it is the close relationships and strong bonds that make our sport so special

MESSAGE FROM DR. ANDREW CHADEAYNE

This story makes me proud to call Shannon Woods my friend. (Even if she wears paddles during swim sets and sits on your feet with only two people are in the lane).

The video tells the story. I met with Shannon yesterday and learned some cool follow-up facts:

  • Shannon has stayed in touch with Nug Bin’s family and they are coming to the United States and going to Olympic Trials together.
  • Shannon continues to coach Nug Bin online through Woodswim’s online stroke analysis platform.

About SwimSpray

SwimSpray was invented by Dr. Andrew Chadeayne, a former Princeton University swimmer and chemistry Ph.D. from Cornell University. Tired of smelling like chlorine after his swimming workouts, Andrew set out remove chlorine from hair and skin ( SwimSpray works where so many other chlorine removal products (e.g., swimmers’ shampoos) have failed previously because SwimSpray’s all-natural vitamin C based formula breaks this bond, neutralizing the chlorine, and allowing it to be washed away with your favorite soap or shampoo. Follow him on Twitter @swimspray and fan him Facebook.

SwimSpray is a SwimSwam partner.
