Benjamin High School senior Alessandra Baldari, who hails from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, has committed to swim for Yale University next fall.

Baldari ended her high school career in November on a high note, being named the Sun Sentinel Palm Girls Swimmer of the Year for the third year in a row after strong performances at the 2017 FHSAA 1A State Meet. There she was runner-up in the 200 IM (2:01.28) and third in the 100 fly (53.77). She led off Benjamin’s medley relay (27.62) and 200 free relay (23.75), both of which finished in 11th place.
In club swimming Baldari represents North Palm Beach Swim Club, but she also competed in the Italian Junior Nationals in Rome during summer of 2016 and won the 100m free with 56.97, which is still her best performance. While she swam most of her best SCY times during her junior year in high school, Baldari dropped time in a number of LCM events last summer (50/200/400 free, 50 breast, 50/100 fly, and 200/400 IM).
