About Fike Swim

“We design products exclusively for the toughest sport in the world.  We unapologetically place swimmers on a pedestal.  The rigors they embrace on a daily basis can only be understood by another swimmer and they deserve a company focused 100% on helping them succeed.  Whether you’re just starting out or training for Tokyo, we stand behind you.”
-James Fike, Founder

Fike Swim Products was born when founder James Fike put a brick on top of a kickboard and transformed just another legs-only kick set into a total body workout felt into the next day. Since then it’s been our mission to create unique swim equipment with the single-minded goal of making you faster. We don’t sell toys. We create tools to help you reach your potential.

Or maybe donate the toilet paper to shelters or clinics instead. Might actually have a bigger impact for those in need instead of giving a single roll of toilet paper to someone who can afford to buy extra swim equipment right now.

I get it definitely sorta relevant marketing, but kinda tone deaf to the current state of affairs.

While a nice sentiment, and I know it’s popular to corona-shame everyone on the internet, there is no actual toilet paper shortage. Institutions like clinics have plenty of toilet paper. The choke point is on the retail supply chain – a package of toilet paper takes up a lot of space on trucks and shelves, so it’s hard to keep it stocked on a retail supply chain, but institutional supply chains haven’t been interrupted, and clinics will still be receiving their regular shipments of toilet paper.

Homeless shelters, women’s shelters, transitional facilities, Meals on Wheels, Sanctuary for Families, public schools, churches, free stores, food pantries, etc. All of those places are outside of the medical field/facilities who indeed have better access. Any of these organizations has a need constantly for items like this outside of this Corona pandemic. Can’t imagine the pointed lack of options on the retail side is a help to these already struggling organizations. Hospitals and clinics will have TP, but those who already are struggling probably arent going to have access.

Again might be better marketing and goodwill to pick one larger group to donate to, who could also help distribute it to those in need. Imagine the ROI on giving one… Read more »

Whew, good thing we’re not hoarding. We’re a small company pulling a few rolls from the Fike family Costco package to keep sales going through the pandemic.
