FINA Champions Serie Guangzhou: Sjöström, Hosszu Bestverdiener

Insgesamt 880.000 Euro sind beim ersten Stopp der FINA Champions Serie an 58 Schwimmer ausgeschüttet worden.

Die insgesamt fünf Einzelstarts und eine Staffelteilnahme spülten 51.000 USD (ca. 45.600 Euro) auf das Konto von Olympiasiegerin Sarah Sjöström. Für Katinka Hosszu waren es immerhin noch 49.000 USD (ca. 43.900 Euro).

Bestverdienender Mann war der Amerikaner Michael Andrew mit 44.000 USD, er war der Vielstarter der Veranstaltung mit sieben Einzel- und zwei Staffelteilnahmen. Entgegen der ursprünglichen Ausschreibung gab es keine Frauen- und Männerstaffeln und die viertplatzierten 4×100 m Mixed Freistil- und 4×100 m Mixed Lagenstaffel erhielten kein Preisgeld.
