FINA has posted the full list of swimmers with “Olympic Qualifying Times”, aka “A” times, for the 2012 Summer Games in London on it’s website. This means that a team has confirmed an athletes entry in the meet, with an Automatic Qualifying Time.
Full list alphabetically.
Full list by event.
These lists will be updated as the rest of the qualifiers are set in stone.
As FINA website says is SWIMMERS QUALIFIED BY ACHIEVING OQT STANDARD TIMES
NF/NOC confirmed the following 438 OQT Qualified Swimmers.
They have not posted the final list yet. In my country, the National Federation has request two spots for two swimmers that has OST but has not been invited or has not received the invitation from FINA. The Newspapers are saying that FINA has requested 15 spots for other swimmers. Is that true???
Takeshi Matsuda is missing from the 200 free.
Then it seems Matsuda is focusing on fly events only, otherwise he’d have tough double like what Phelps did yesterday.
it seems the americans have put in their fastest two in each event besides the 1500. the put Gemmel in, instead of PVK. Foreshadowing perhaps?
Looks like they’re considering the American times & entries to just be placeholders as they sort out the rest of the field and B qualifiers. They’ve got Allison Schmitt listed as American #2 right now in the 200 free and use 1:55.8 her time from he 2011 Minneapolis GP as he qualifying time, not her quicker time from earlier this year.
