FINA World Men’s Youth Water Polo Championships

FINA WORLD MEN’S YOUTH WATER POLO CHAMPIONSHIPS 2016

Podgorica, in Montenegro, will play the host to the third FINA World Men’s Youth Water Polo Championships from August 26 to September 3.

Nineteen young men’s water polo teams, with players aged under 18 and representing the five continents, are heading to the capital to battle for the Youth title.

Following the draw, which took place on June 23 in China, the groups are composed as follows:

GROUP A: Kazakhstan, Greece, Russia, Colombia, Canada

GROUP B: Brazil, Italy, Hungary, Montenegro

GROUP C: Egypt, South Africa, Spain, Australia, Japan

GROUP D: USA, China, Croatia, New Zealand, Serbia

The preliminary rounds will run from August 26 to August 30, with eight games per day. The eighth final round will take place on August 31 and the quarter and semi-finals on September 1 and 2. The 5-8th and 1-4th place games will be on September 3.
