FINIS Helps With Special Olympics World Games

FINIS, a worldwide leader in technical swimming development, took big strides in its community outreach efforts this past month by partnering up with the Special Olympics World Games. The World Games took place in Los Angeles from July 25 to August 2, and played host to over 6,500 athletes, 30,000 volunteers and over 500,000 spectators. More than 165 countries competed in the games as it is anticipated to go down as the largest sports and humanitarian event of the year.

FINIS partnered with the games to provide snorkels, agility paddles and pull buoys for the athletes competing in aquatic sports. The products provided a valuable training tool for the athletes to prepare for their competition.

“The Special Olympics have always been near and dear to me, so when the possibility of teaming up with them for the World Games came up, I was all in. The World Games are an inspiring event unlike many others, it’s a unique experience and a great opportunity for anyone to be a part of. The Special Olympics is one of the greatest organizations in the world and we here at FINIS are so proud to be a part of it and we are excited to build on our partnership together in the future.”
