FINIS Set of the Week: A Paddle Kind of Fun

Set of the Week is courtesy of FINIS, a SwimSwam partner.

This week’s set comes from Randy Kasir, a former swimmer & current Business Development Representative for FINIS.

Call us biased, but we’re big fans of the Iso paddles – this set includes a variety of drills to get the most out of what the Iso paddles have to offer. The key benefit here lies in developing the various muscle groups that swimmers should be using throughout the stroke. If you don’t have the Iso Paddles – complete the set as a normal pull set.

4 x 50 Inside Isolation
4 x 50 Outside Isolation
4 x 50 Skull – Outside isolation with the ring finger placed in the paddle
4 x 50 One arm pull with Alignment kickboard – OR for an added twist, put both Iso paddles on top of each other for a makeshift kickboard. 2- 50’s on the left 2- 50’s on the right.
8 x 25 Drill, IM Order (Fly=Inside Isolation, Back=Outside Isolation, Breast=Inside Isolation, Free=Outside Isolation)
