RALEIGH, N.C.- The NC State swimming and diving team successfully concluded its first-ever Wolfpack Games Friday evening inside Casey Aquatic Center.
With seven events that are not common to NCAA swimming and diving, the squad showcased its talents in a fun and unique way while engaging fans and the program’s alumni association.
“Our first-ever Wolfpack Games was a lot of fun. No one knew what was coming, and it kept the crowd on its feet the whole time and were eager to watch the next race,” said head coach Braden Holloway. “Our team had a great time with it and the place was packed just for this event, which is encouraging to think about the support that we have from family, friends and alumni to come back and cheer for our team.”
“It was great to see the support out here. I’d also like to think our entire staff that worked behind the scenes to put this event on with the success it had.”
On thoughts of Wolfpack Games as an alum
“It’s just an evolution. Just from the building itself to the team, tonight was a lot of fun to watch. The chemistry here is so much different now even from my era. We have people from all over the country that want to be a part of the Wolfpack family and it’s a lot of fun to watch this program continue to grow.”

Looks like fun!!Reminds me of the ” Water Carnival” that Michigan did a few years back. Really brings in the crowds & whole team has fun with it. “Open Water” race especially looked fun!!
Wow that was a fun event!
