Florida 3A State Champ Aubrey Miller Commits to West Florida

Aubrey Miller of St. Johns, Florida will remain in-state for her collegiate career, having committed to swim for the University of West Florida beginning in the fall of 2018.

“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim at the University of West Florida next year!  UWF offers the perfect combination of both a nationally ranked Environmental Science program and Swim and Dive Team.  Coach Andrew is awesome, the Team is close-knit and welcoming and the campus is located on a Nature Preserve close to beautiful Pensacola Beach.  Dreams do come true!  GO ARGOS!!”

Miller is a senior at Creekside High School in St. Johns, where she specializes in butterfly and backstroke. At the 2017 FHSAA Class 3A Championship in November she was a member of the winning 200 medley relay, to which she contributed a butterfly leg of 24.95. Individually, she added a fourth-place finish in the 100 fly (57.55) and a 12th in the 100 back (59.97) to help the Knights win the 3A team title.

Miller swims year-round for Loggerhead Aquatics. She competed in the 50 free, 100/200 back and 100 fly at Nashville Futures last summer. She has continued to improve during her senior year, most recently dropping time in the 100 fly at the GSC Holiday Classic.

Best SCY times:

  • 50 back – 26.64
  • 100 back – 58.04
  • 50 fly – 25.49
  • 100 fly – 57.04

Thank you so much UWF Mom! She’s so excited & has been watching (aka stalking) the Team for a while. UWF always has the happiest swimmers & divers on deck! This was key to her decision. She actually committed back in October & signed in November 🙂

Congratulations on a great Conference ~ love how UWF swept the awards Go ARGOS!

UWF has had the high point swimmer of the conference meet 4 of the 5 years they’ve been there. I’m sure Aubrey will have her own run at it eventually. And you will have some awesome parents to get to know and love, just like I did for 4 years. You’re in for a great ride! Enjoy it.
