Florida HS 4A State Finalist Allie Larrimore Opts for In-State North Florida

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Allie Larrimore of Saint Augustine, FL has announced her decision to further her academic and athletic careers at the University of North Florida beginning in the 2021-2022 season. She is swims year-round for the Saint Augustines Cyclones under the direction of University of Florida All-American and two-time Olympian Gregory Burgess and Club Director Frank Holleman. She is in her final year at Allen D. Nease High School where she is coach by Gustavo Calado.

I am excited to announce my commitment to be an UNF Osprey! I would like to thank my coaches, teammates and family who have supported me along the way.

Go OSPREYS!

Larrimore attended the Florida High School 4A State Championships in November. She swam the 100 fly and the 100 back, as well as two relays, swimming in both prelims and finals for all four events. In prelims, she was 13th in the 100 fly (57.60) and 10th in the 100 back (57.68). She finished 13 in the fly and 10th in the back, swimming slightly slower in finals. She led off Allen Nease’s 200 medley relay, which finished 6th in finals. She ended the meet by swimming the second leg of her team’s 400 free relay.

She has qualified for the state champs every year of high school. In 2019, the Allen Nease HS junior made it back to the B-final of the 100 fly, going a personal best time of 56.97. Her time earned her a 2021 Futures cut. She swam at the 3A State meet sophomore year and the 2A meet freshman year.

Top SCY Times:

  • 100 back – 57.68
  • 100 fly – 56.97
  • 200 fly – 2:06.45
  • 200 free – 1:54.63

Larrimore will make an immediate impact when she joins the Ospreys in the fall of 2021. Her 200 free would have been the team’s third-fastest during the 2019-2020 season. Being in the top four would give her a shot at making the team conference 4×200 free relay. She would also have been ranked second in the 200 fly behind Sydney Groth and third in the 100 fly behind Esther Quakenbush and Groth.

North Florida finished 5th at the 2020 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Championships. Larrimore would have earned a spot in the B-finals of the 100 and 200 fly and the 100 back.

She will be joining club teammate and Florida 2A State finalist Ella Chang as a member of North Florida’s class of 2025.
