The Florida State Seminoles have added another State Champion sprinter with the addition of Kanoa Kaleoaloha from the Kamehameha Schools Kaplama in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Kalealoha is the defending Hawaii State Champion in the boys’ 100 yard freestyle (45.65) and was also the individual runner-up last season in the 50 free (20.64).
Kaleoaloha has been a hair better than that time in the 100 free with a 45.53 from a month later at a sectional championship, and adds to those times a 1:40.88 in the 200 yard free and a 50.37 in the 100 yard fly.
He joins a class that includes Emir Muratovic, a 20.45/45.04 sprinter who is also committed to the Seminoles, as part of a resurgent sprint group in Tallahassee.
Kaleoaloha will be the second swimmer from Hawaii’s powerhouse Kamehameha Swim Club on the Florida State roster: current Seminole redshirt freshman Jake Urbano was the 2012 Hawaii State Champion in the 200 free and trained with the same club as Kaleoaloha.
