Football Star Matt Barkley gets wet in Matt vs USC Water Polo

Featured USC Water Polo players in this video: Matt Burton and Michael Rosenthal.

Impressively, Matt Barkley’s got aquatic skills, and he looks like he could play water polo. We know he’s got an arm…

Matt Barkley, host of “Matt vs”  is a USC football star. Coming out of high school in 2009 he was rated the top recruit by ESPN.

At USC Barkley was the first true freshman quarterback to open for the Trojans. His starter game was against San Jose State, which he won 56-3.

Barkley’s sophmore year he started as quarterback. He suffered a sprained ankle but managed a strong showing against Stanford and Cal.

Barklley’s junior year he broke a lot records; most completions (34) against Minnesota, passing for a record single game (468 yards), and passing for a single game record 6 touchdowns.

Most quarterbacks with his talent go pro by their senior year. Barkley did not. He returned to his USC Trojans, and they were ranked #1 in the preseason poll. A loss to Stanford ended their dream of a BCS national title, however. What followed was an  abysmal season, with 5 losses overall.

Many thanks to the CoachErik for point this video out.

So proud of the USC water polo team and its record 5-in-a-row NCAA championships! In this video are USC seniors: Matt Burton, Tobi Preuss, Michael Rosenthal, Andrew Reego and goalie Will Simon.

I had to see this, knowing Matt when he was little and that his dad had played water polo too. This is such an awesome sport as I have seen up close US Team vs. Russia Team in Long Beach years ago.

Best part of watching Matt with team during football game, the bended knees down at goal post, and the best part of watching Matt with team during this water polo video, the laughter and joy while sharing some power moves in the water!!!

Thank you!!!

May God watch over you and keep you STRONG!!!
