Fordham Swim & Dive Adds Jake Brown As Assistant Coach

Bronx, N.Y. – (April 26, 2023) – Fordham swimming & diving head coach Steve Potsklan announced the addition of Jake Brown as an assistant coach today.

Brown comes to Rose Hill after serving as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland.  He spent the past season with the Shoremen, as the men’s squad finished fifth at the 2023 Centennial Conference Championship, while the women were sixth.  He also was an assistant at Washington for the 2020-21 season.

In between his time at Washington, Brown served as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Kentucky, working with swimmers in the sprint and breaststroke events.

Brown swam at Washington College from 2017-20, where he served as a team captain and was a three-time Centennial Conference finalist and two-time bronze medalist.  He also was a part of three school record relays in the 200, 400, and 800 freestyle.

Along with his collegiate experience, Brown has also been an associate head coach for Eastern Shore Aquatics, which has a USA club swim team and masters program.
