Fourteen Athletes To Represent USA Diving In FINA World Series

USA Diving has announced the 14 athletes who will represent the United States at the FINA World Series meets taking place in Canada, Russia  and Great Britain beginning February 28. Competition is set for February 28-March 1 in Montreal, Canada, followed by the World Series stop in meet in Kazan, Russia March 20-22, and concludes in London, Great Britain March 27-29.

The roster includes four Olympians: David BoudiaSteele JohnsonMike Hixon, and Katrina Young.

At the first stop of the World Series in Montreal, Boudia and Johnson, who won silver at the FINA Grand Prix in Madrid earlier this month, will pair again up to compete in the 3-meter synchronized competition. Boudia will also compete in the individual 3-meter event along with HixonYoung will compete in the synchronized 10-meter with partner Murphy Bromberg.

“I’m very excited about this roster of athletes going to the FINA World Series meets,” said Dan Laak, High Performance Director for USA Diving, “As we head towards Tokyo 2020, it’s important to give our Olympic hopefuls as many opportunities as possible to hone their lists and also to give up-and-coming athletes the opportunity to gain experience on the international stage”
