France To Play Italy In World League Debut

FINA WOMEN’S WATER POLO WORLD LEAGUE 2017
Six of Europe’s best water polo squads will be battling in the European preliminaries of the FINA Women’s Water Polo World League 2017 to begin tonight in the first home-and-away game.

Tonight Italy will be receiving France in Florence (ITA) to dispute their round two’s game.

Round one’s matches will be played next week, on November 29, while the other game of round 2 will be battled on December 20 in Utrecht (NED).

The composition of the women’s European Groups of the 2017 World League is as follows:

Group A: Russia, Greece Netherlands
Group B: Italy, Hungary, France

As a reminder, the final ranking of the 2016 Women’s World League was:

1. USA (gold), 2. ESP (silver), 3. AUS (bronze), 4. CHN, 5. ITA, 6. RUS, 7. CAN, 8. BRA

Dates for the Intercontinental Tournament and the Super Final will be announced soon on FINA website.
