Freestyle Specialist Charlotte Krevitt Verbally Commits to UPenn

Fitter and Faster Swim Clinics is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

New York City native Charlotte Krevitt has verbally committed to the University of Pennsylvania’s 2024 class. She was one of the Ivy League team’s first commits in the class when she committed earlier this summer.

Krevitt is a senior this year, swimming again for Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics. In the past, the team has developed several high-level or professional competitive swimmers, including Olympic Medalist Lia Neal, Olympic Trials Qualifier Krystal Lara and several Junior Nationals qualifiers Carly Fried and Aaron Glas. We wrote an article on Lara, Fried and Glas here.

As for Krevitt herself, she has competed at several high-level meets this year alone, including both the 2019 NCSA Junior National Championships and the 2019 USA Swimming Junior National Time Trials. At the NCSA meet, she won gold in both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle, with times of 23.72 and 51.08, respectively. A few months later, she took third in the 50-meter freestyle and fourth in the 100-meter backstroke at the long course USA Swimming competition.

Krevitt was also the Futures Champion at the long course meet in Geneva, Ohio in the summer of 2017.

Were Krevitt a freshman on the UPenn roster last season (2018-19), she would have been the fastest on the squad in the 100-yard free, tied for the fastest in the 200-yard free (with then-sophomore Catherine Buroker), and third-fastest in the 50-yard free. At the 2019 Ivy League Championships, Krevitt would have B or C finaled in the 50-, 100-, 200-, and 500-yard freestyle.

Top SCY times:

  • 50 free – 23.40
  • 100 free – 50.70
  • 200 free – 1:49.58
  • 500 free – 4:58.38
