Freestyler Brooke Jensen Commits to Illinois State

Sprint freestyler Brooke Jensen has opted to stay in-state as she competes in the NCAA. The Illinois-based swimmer has announced her commitment to join the Illinois State Redbirds as a freshman for the 2017-18 season. Jensen currently trains with Delta Aquatics in Oswego, Illinois. She also attends Yorkville High School, where she competes for their varsity swim team.

Jensen recently competed at the 2016 Illinois Girls Sectionals Championships in Metea Valley. She finished in the top 16 of both of her events at that meet. In the 100 free, she recorded a time of 53.56 to finish 13th overall. In the 200 free, she touched in a personal best 1:56.18, earning a 12th place finish.

On her commitment:

  • 200 yard free- 1:56.18
  • 100 yard back- 1:03.16
