GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Florida State swimmers Connor Kalisz and Meg Brown and divers Tyler Roberge and Cassidy Gebhart were named this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Swimming and Diving Performers of the Week.
Kalisz earned Male Swimmer of the Week honors after posting three top-three individual finishes in Florida State’s long course dual meet against third-ranked Florida. The sophomore won the 100 back with a time of 57.95 and split 57.55 as the leadoff in the 400 medley relay to help his team to a fourth-place finish. Kalisz also finished second in the 200 back and third in the 200 IM.
Roberge took Male Diver of the Week honors for the second time this season. The sophomore won the 3-meter event with a score of 393.60, finishing 16.8 points ahead of the rest of the field. He also finished second in the 1-meter event with 318.68 points as a part of a one-two-three Florida State sweep.
Brown earned Female Swimmer of the Week honors after leading Florida State against No. 14 Florida. The freshman posted three top-five individual finishes, including a second-place showing in the 200 fly with a time of 2:19.05. Brown also finished third in the 200 IM and fifth in the 200 back, while also helping her 400 medley relay team to a third-place finish.
Gebhart was named Female Diver of the Week for the second time this season after scoring the highest point total for the Seminoles. The freshman placed fourth in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events, scoring a 283.05 in the 1-meter and a 268.21 in the 1-meter.
