Funkita Divers Success at Gold Coast FINA Diving Grand Prix

A number of divers sponsored by Aussie swimwear brand Funkita competed at the FINA Diving Grand Prix on the Gold Coast over the weekend, including Team USA diver and Nevada alum Krysta Palmer.

Palmer came away with two medals from the event. In the 3m Synchro event she won a silver medal with partner Lauren Reedy. She also won her first individual international medal with a bronze in the 3m Springboard.

Australian Olympic Bronze Medallist Anabelle Smith is no stranger to the international diving circuit but speaking before the event she expressed her excitement to compete over the weekend.

“Any opportunity to represent Australia is a privilege and I love competing with a home crowd at a FINA Grand Prix.” She competed with Dominic Bedggood in the 3m Mixed Synchro event for the first time this weekend and they turned out to be a fantastic pair, winning gold.

Another notable Australian diver to compete on the Gold Coast was Alysha Koloi. Koloi is the youngest member of the Australian National Squad, an achievement that is even more impressive given she only recently took up the sport after training in gymnastics for most of her life. She competed in the 3m Springboard and won silver.

Team USA Diver Krysta Palmer is running a Funkita Chamois Sports Towel giveaway for Thanksgiving right now! If you’d like to win one head to her Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/krystapalmer/ to enter the competition, but get in quick as it closes November 22nd!
