“I can’t wait to swim for Texas A&M next year! The whole team is very supportive of each other and the coaching staff is amazing. They have many academic opportunities that will help me reach my goals. I’m excited to join the Aggie Family! Gig ‘Em!”
The Texas A&M women will add a new fly/backstroker to their ranks, as Kara Eisenmann has given her verbal commitment to the Aggies. Eisenmann, a member of Lakeside Aquatic Club, will join the Aggies next fall after she graduates from Lewisville High School.
Last season, Eisenmann was a 2-time finalist at the Texas 6A State Championships. There, she placed 50th in the 100 back and 7th in the 100 fly. Her success continued into the long course season, as she made big drops in both butterfly events. Eisenmann won both the 100 fly and 200 fly at the Futures Championship meet in Austin, posting new best times of 1:00.51 and 2:13.92 in those events respectively.
Eisenmann’s Top Times:
Event | SCY Time | LCM Time |
100 fly | 54.87 | 1:00.51 |
200 fly | 2:03.63 | 2:13.92 |
100 back | 55.04 | 1:05.65 |
200 back | 2:02.39 | 2:21.91 |
Last season, the Aggie women won their first SEC Championship title in program history, breaking Georgia’s conference title streak. At the SEC meet, the team saw Sarah Gibson and Beryl Gastaldello go 1-2, respectively, in the 100 fly.
When she heads to College Station to swim for the Aggies, Gastaldello will be a part of Eisenmann’s training group. She’ll also be training alongside SEC scorers Tiffany Futscher, Caitlynn Moon, and Laura Norman.
