Aiden Morris, a current high school senior from Rocky River, Ohio, has committed to swim for D1 Cleveland State University. Morris will graduate from Rocky River High School in May 2020 and join the Cleveland State Vikings’ class of 2024.
Morris, a freestyle sprinter, currently swims for the Lake Shore Swim Club. Some of his accomplishments in swimming so far include qualifying for the USA Swimming Futures Championship, being an Ohio State High School Championship finalist and being named captain of his high school team.
“I love the coaching staff, the team was very welcoming,” Morris says about CSU, “I know I will be able to continue to improve in that environment. I’ve been swimming at that pool for so long it already feels like my home pool.”
With his current best times, Morris would have placed just outside of scoring finals at the 2019 Horizon League Championships with the Vikings.
At that meet, the CSU placed 2nd as a team.
Morris will begin his swimming career at Cleveland State University beginning fall 2020.
