JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Gardner-Webb’s Santiago Alcantara earned this week’s Atlantic Sun Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week honor, announced Wednesday by the league office.
Alcantara finished the weekend with four top-five finishes, including a first place victory by over 12 seconds in the 1000 Yard Freestyle (9:30). He took second place in both the 200 Yard Butterfly (1:49.74) and the 500 Yard Freestyle (4:35.66), to go along with a fourth place finish in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay.
