Although no swimmers swam an automatic qualifying time at day 2 of British Trials, three swimmers were able to score within 2% of the consideration times. Chloe Tutton took down the British record in the 200 breast to upset former record-holder Molly Renshaw, but both swimmers swam the consideration time. The other consideration time came from Georgia Davies in the 100 back, who scraped under the mark by .05 for 59.64.
Although they didn’t make it into the window for an Olympic berth (save the possibility of earning one of the 6 ‘magical saves, see selection policy), Adam Mallett and Chris Walker-Hebborn, scored a national title apiece in the 200 fly and 100 back, respectively.
