George Washington Trains in Miami, Breaks 3 Pool Records in Return

The George Washington Colonials spent a portion of their winter break away from the snowy cold of Washington D.C. and instead soaked up sun in Miami, Florida.

From the video’s producer, Kyle Hrabovsky:

“This year the George Washington University Men’s and Women’s swim and dive teams had the opportunity to go on a training trip to Miami, Florida. Training trip is often one of the highlights of the year for the team and the intensity of workouts usually peak around this time. This video gives an inside look at some of the things the team spent doing over the course of our 8 days in Miami. #RaiseHigh”

GWU returned to DC for a local tri meet against American and Georgetown where the men’s team swept their competition and broke 3 pool records, and the women’s team split beating American and losing to Georgetown.

They then won again on Saturday, senior day, against Old Dominion.

GWU now settles into their final block of training before the A-10 Championships from February 14th-17th in Geneva, Ohio. After that, swimmers who don’t qualify for NCAAs are scheduled to travel to the CSCAA National Invitational meet.
