Get Your Tickets For Nationals Before It’s Too Late

The 2014 USA Swimming Phillips 66 National Championships in Irvine, California will run from Wednesday, August 6th through Sunday, August 10th, and tickets are now on sale for the event through the Irvine Novaquatics National Events web site – www.novaquatics.org.  There will be about 2,300 seats available for spectators after coaches, athletes, and media seating is blocked off. Meet organizers tell us that they expect to sell out by the end of the week, based on current trends.

At that site, fans can also purchase tickets for the 2014 Speedo Junior National Championships, which will be held the week before on the same
Wednesday Sunday cycle.

Senior Nationals will be a very significant meet, as they will serve as the selection event for the following international level meets:

* 2014 Pan Pac Championships
* 2014 World Short Course Championships
* 2015 World Championships
* 2015 World University Games

Ticket prices run from $10 for a single prelims or finals session, to $15 for a single finals session, and an “all-session passes” for $60 for the 10
sessions of the meet.  Students and seniors can receive discounts.

Both venues are anticipated to be very highly attended with featuring our nation’s elite and world class swimmers. The view is much better from the stands rather than the parking lot.

Rafael — US coaches have total discretion over relay selections. So, as long as Lochte (or anyone else) qualifies for the US team in any event, he is “eligible” to swim on any relay. Is that what you were asking?

Yes.. I was curious if anyone on the team can swim or it would have to be only the 6 fastest of the event eligible..

Anyone on team can technically can br put on relay. But if not showing first class swimming not worth being on Relay.

So if like. Locthe does not qualify on 100 fly and nop a top 4 on 100 free he won´t have another chance and won´t be eligible for relay?

US television schedule here

Only the first day live! It’s not very nice.
And fortunately for international swimming fans like me, a free live webcast of the entire meet will be available on the USA swimming website. It’s soooooo cool. 🙂

Unfortunately, many people have cable companies who don’t offer Universal – and I am one of them. Even with too many letters complaining about the lack of service, they refuse to budge. I am hoping that United States Swimming will offer a live feed, otherwise, it will be like the last World Championships and I will have to rely on the SwimSwam fans to give us instant updates on the competitions.
