Glenn Surgeloose Breaks Belgian Record in 200 Free Prelims

Twenty-six-year-old veteran Glenn Surgeloose of Belgium just clipped a three-year-old national record in the Men’s 200 Free Prelims with a 1:42.94. The previous record had been a 1:43.08 from the 2012 edition of these Championships, and had been held by Pieter Timmers. Surgeloose also posted the top time of the morning, and actually led a Belgian 1-2 punch, as Timmers followed close behind with a 1:43.33
