Gold Bests Garnet at Florida State’s Season-Opening Event

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –  The Florida State swimming and diving teams competed in the annual Garnet vs. Gold meet at the Morcom Aquatics Center on Friday. In a combined men’s and women’s team event, Gold topped Garnet 276-186 in front of family, friends and alumni.

“Today was a great day,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “It was fun to see our new talented student-athletes and our good returners. Today was very promising.”

The Seminoles will open the season on Oct. 4 at Notre Dame at 4 p.m.
