The University of Wyoming swimming and diving team held its annual Brown and Gold Meet on Friday at Corbett Pool. The Gold Team downed the Brown Team, 342-328.
The competition featured a number of swimmers winning multiple individual events. That list is headlined by Brynlee Busskohl who took first in the 100- and 200-yard breaststrokes with times of 1:04.05 and 2:21.75. She added a victory as a member of the 200-yard medley relay that went 1:04.65.
Quinn Cynor also won a pair of individual races and a relay, topping the field in the 100- and 200-yard freestyles after clocking in at 46.43 and 1:43.71. He added a first-place finish, swimming a leg of the 400-yard freestyle relay that registered a time of 3:09.13
Drew Ravegum won the 200-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard IM, logging times of 2:10.48 and 1:55.41. Derek Long rounded out the swimmers that won a pair of individual races, touching first in the 500- and 1,000-yard freestyles after recording times of 4:52.78 and 10:01.21.
Tara Joyce, Emily Giles, Collin Davis, John Wargin, Harry Tjaden, Kali Franckowiak, Jakob Borrman, Carly Palmer and Gavin Smith all claimed one first as an individual and one as part of a relay. Gabriella Haigler and Bruno Grau won the 1-meter diving competition.
Wyoming is back in the pool Saturday morning. The Cowboys and Cowgirls combine with former Pokes for the Brown, Gold and Old Meet at 9 a.m. inside Corbett Pool.
