In the article about Jazz Carlin, some people say Katie Ledecky will not swim the 200 free in Barcelona. Is it a news or simply a rumor? I hate the rumors. But if it was a news, it would be the smartest decision ever. I had said the same thing when Michael had dropped the 200 free last year in London. 400 free/800 free/1500 free/4X200 free relay is enough for her.
And if you want another rumor. On a French swimming forum, some people say Mr Agnel will swim the 200 free in Barcelona. I don’t know where they have learned that! I hate the rumors!

I read somewhere that Bispo was added to team with Ledecky scratching 200 free. Nothing on USA swimming tho to confirm.

Just googled it to see if there was anything reported, and I came across this. Still no confirmation from USA Swim, but I’m guessing USA Swim notified Bispo?

Keep up the excellent work Mel. I enjoy your interviews and your insight. Hopefully you will be in Barcelona

What I love, Mel, is your bringing your own experiences and feelings from your swim career directly into the interviews. YOU were on the blocks. YOU were in the waiting room. YOU were on the awards podium. YOU were the one who put in the millions of meters to get there and therefore can get right into the swimmer’s mind. I hope you get to Barcelona.

Yeah, gotta be careful with that stuff though, it can get hack-y and lazy and fairly ill-informed. (I’m looking at you, ex-jocks on ESPN and stuff.)

Though I’m not saying Mel is though, Mel’s fantastic.

Thanks for all your hard work and the wonderful interviews, Mel! Is there any chance you’ll be able to do the same thing in Barcelona? You’re the best!
