GW Swimming and Diving Teams Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

WASHINGTON – The George Washington men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs have been named College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Teams for the spring 2015 semester. GW is part of a CSCAA-record 406 institutions to earn the honor, accounting for more than 600 teams, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The Colonials have now earned the distinction for both squads for 10 consecutive semesters.

“It is a great honor to be named Scholar All-America Teams for our 10th semester in a row,” said Head Coach James Winchester. “The dedication and hard work by our student-athletes in their academic and athletic endeavors is a cornerstone for our program. I look forward to both of our programs having continued academic success for many years to come.”

College and university swimming and diving programs must have achieved a grade-point average of 3.00 or higher during the spring 2015 semester to earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Team honors. GW’s women’s squad posted a 3.45 GPA this spring, while the men’s side achieved a 3.00 GPA.
