Hawaii Adds Mid-Distance Freestyler Logan Euker to Roster for 2021

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

The University of Hawaii has picked up a commitment from mid-distance freestyler Logan Euker of Fredricksburg, VA for its class of 2025. Euker is a senior in high school and he swims year-round for the Rappahannock Y Rays Swim Team. Euker will make a grand entrance when he arrives on campus, as he stands at 6’7″.

I am excited and honored to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Hawaii!! I want to thank God, my family, friends, teammates, and coaches for helping me to become the person and athlete worthy of this accomplishment. Go BOWS!!

In August of 2019, Euker competed at the Eastern Zone Age Group Championships in Richmond, VA. He swam the 50, 100, 200, and 400 free, and the 100 and 200 breast at the LCM meet. Euker won the gold medal in the 100 free, powering to the wall in a personal best time of 55.34. He earned a second medal when he finished 3rd in the 200 meter free. He went another best time, touching at 2:02.63. Euker finished 9th in the 400 free, 15th in the 200 breast and 16th in both the 50 free and 100 breast.

Euker went most of his best times at the VSTP Icebreaker Invitational in December. He recorded personal best times in the 100 breast and the 50 and 100 free. He also finished within the top 8 in all five of his events. His most impressive time improvement came in the 100 breast where he dropped 4.62 seconds from his entry time to go 59.18.

Euker has been able to compete in two meets so far this year, most recently swimming at the 2021 Duck Bowl at the end of January. He competed in the 50 and 200 free and the 100 breast, finishing 2nd, 1st, and 4th, respectively.

Top SCY Times:

  • 100 breast – 59.18
  • 50 free – 21.71
  • 100 free – 47.30
  • 200 free – 1:43.47
  • 500 free – 4:45.56

Euker will join the University of Hawaii’s men’s swim and dive team beginning in the fall of 2021.
