BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure University men’s and women’s swimming head coach Skip Nitardy has announced the hiring of Hayley Tasselmyer as assistant swim coach.

No stranger to St. Bonaventure, Tasselmyer swam for the Bonnies from 2019-2021 under Nitardy. As a senior in 2020-21, she earned fourth-place finishes in the 200-breaststroke and the 200-medley relay while also finishing sixth in the 100-breaststroke at Atlantic 10 Championships.

“We are excited to have Hayley joining the staff,” Nitardy said. “She was a phenomenal swimmer for us and was a top-eight finisher at Atlantic 10 Championships. Her experience from that will carry into helping us continue moving the program forward. The student-athletes are excited to have her get started as well.”

Tasselmyer graduated in December with a Bachelor’s Degree in physical education.

Originally from Cortland, N.Y., Tasselmyer joined the Bonnies program after spending two seasons at Niagara.

The Bonnies return to the pool Saturday, Jan. 22 against Binghamton.
