Hey, Hasler Got Better!

So, who remembers this video that went mega-viral on the internet a few years ago?

The ‘Daniel’ in this video was Daniel Hasler, who during his freshman season at Princeton in 2010-2011 got really sick, spent some time in a hospital, and missed the Ivy League Championships. His teammates in turn made a video to cheer him up.

It’s been a hard road back, but it seems as though this morning at the U.S. Open, Hasler felt better. He swam a 2:14.94 in the 200 meter breaststroke to take an 11th seed into finals, and cut over four seconds off of his previous lifetime best.

Brings a tear to my eye… Teammates are the best friends you’ll ever have. I’m betting everyone who did that video knows about his race and are as proud & happy as he is.
