Highlight Reel of University of Redlands Swim & Dive Season (Video)

One would think with all these creative videos being produced by swim teams across the country that GoPro would make a killing in advertising and sponsorship. All jokes aside, the newest video to reach SwimSwam is from Division III’s University of the Redlands, a private liberal arts institution just a few miles southeast of San Bernardino, California.

Youtube user h20Hulk’s video opens with an awesome time-lapse shot of the rising California sun as the team gathers on deck for the morning’s workout. From there the fun, shenanigans, training, comradery, team spirit, and championship moments are all captured in their 8:48 minute montage reel.

Head Swim & Dive Coach Leslie Whittemore’s Bulldogs capped their season with a third place finish at 2016 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships with their women tallying 658.5 points and the men with 572 points. Most recently, Junior swimmer Ellie Jaques traveled to Greensboro, North Carolina as her school’s lone representative at the 2016 Division III NCAA Championships. In her first appearance on the national stage, Jaques garnered two Honorable All-America nods and established two school records in the 200 IM and 400 IM.
