Hiring Dryland Certified Coaches for SURGE Strength

SURGE Strength is in need of hiring Dryland Certified Coaches. Because we’re continuing to grow and need more Dryland Certified Coaches to keep up with demand! Consider joining us in guiding dryland programs for swimmers and swim teams around the globe.

Most of the first decade Chris was the sole Dryland Certified Coach providing custom Dryland Programs to swimmers and teams. However, over time the demand rapidly increased and hasn’t slowed, even as SURGE Strength is in the middle of another decade of providing dryland training solutions!

The biggest “pain point” for SURGE Strength currently is keeping up with the demand of our Dryland Programs! This is because while SURGE Strength’s approach is to leverage technology to help improve each Dryland Program’s efficiency and results, it is a bespoke coaching service, backed by years of results.

SURGE Strength Dryland Programs

If you’re not familiar with SURGE Strength’s Dryland Programs here’s a brief overview:

Who we help

SURGE Strength offers custom Dryland Programs for individual swimmers. The starting age varies based on a number of factors but most of our athletes are 13 years or older. We currently work with masters swimmers in their 70s who have goals to break world records in the 90+ age category! So age is really a non-factor in us creating a Dryland Program that compliments your swim training and results in better and faster performance.

SURGE Strength also offers customer Dryland Programs for swim teams. Think of this as adding a virtual assistant dryland coach to your staff. Our Dryland Certified Coaches work in collaboration with the head swim coach’s vision for the program. Whether you’re starting from scratch to build a dryland culture you can take pride in, or if you’ve been implementing dryland for a while and want to raise the standard and increase results we can help!

How we help

We don’t create dryland training workouts by picking cards out of a hat or using to a workout generator. Each Dryland Program is guided by one of SURGE Strength’s Dryland Certified Coaches (SSDC). The initial onboarding process is different between individuals and teams but by the end of the onboarding there is a clear plan of attack of where to begin the Dryland Program and how to progress it over the season.

What we deliver

Your SURGE Strength Dryland Program is delivered via app with your program being completely private and unaccessible to the public. You’ll have regular video calls, email exchanges and even in-app messaging to keep in communication with your Dryland Certified Coach.

Based on your training, equipment and history your Dryland Program will go through various periodization phases leading up to whenever your taper meet is. Throughout the year you’ll have re-assessments, similar to the initial on-boarding process. We constantly evaluate how effect your Dryland Program is and if any changes need to be made.

Where we train

Wherever you are is the answer! We nearly have swimmers and swim teams in every time zone around the globe. And our onboarding pace doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

So if you travel a bit or have different workout locations and equipment we can adapt your Dryland Program to fit your changing variables! And if that’s not the case for you, know that we can still adapt to whatever new circumstances may develop over a season.

We understand that most seasons don’t go completely according to plan and that’s why it’s such a benefit to work with a SURGE Strength Dryland Certified Coach because we will adapt your Dryland Program to best fit your current needs.

Why we help

Dryland seems to be one of the more common areas of uncertainty in a complete swim training program. This is completely natural and that’s why we enjoy helping swimmers and coaches so much! Chances are if you’ve studied how to improve swimming performance you most likely just studied the actual water training and techniques. And that makes sense!

But what makes even more sense is to build your’s or your swimmers’ bodies into better performing athletes. From flexibility and mobility, to strength, power and endurance; we give you more of what you’re lacking!

When to start

We onboard new swimmers and teams year-round but after each championship season is an especially ideal time to begin a Dryland Program with SURGE Strength!
