Katinka Hosszu of Hungary continued and exceptionally strong meet with a win in the 400 IM at 4:30.41 in ahead of hometown Barcelona favourite Mireia Belmonte Garcia. Belmonte managed a 4:31.21 to hold off American Elizabeth Beisel in 4:31.69. You might mention that Breast Stroke takes the largest fraction of the 4 strokes giving the strong breaststroker an advantage if the splits for the other strokes keep the swimmer in contention.
I remember when Ruta Meilutyte swam 100 IM at the s/c World Championships in 2012, Istanbul. Meilutyte was last before the breastroke leg at the 50 meter mark but arguably first after it. 🙂
