PRIZE MONEY SYSTEM
Each event gives out money for the top 3 finishers:
- 1st: 40,000 rubles (~$563 in U.S. Dollars)
- 2nd: 25,000 rubles (~$352 USD)
- 3rd: 15,000 rubles (~$211 USD)
Every event is tallied in FINA points, with the top male and female swim earning a bonus.
- FINA points bonus: 300,000 rubles (~$4,224 USD)
Certain records also garner bonuses.
- Russian record: 40,000 rubles (~$563 USD) – available only to Russian athletes
- European record: 80,000 rubles (~1,126 USD)
- World record: 300,000 rubles (~$4,224 USD)
Katinka Hosszu continued to dominate on the second day of finals at the 2015 Salnikov Cup, winning all 4 of her events of the session. Her first event of the night, women’s 200 short course meter IM, she finished in a time of 2:08.36, she then went on to win the women’s 100m backstroke in 57.20. She completed her events of the night with a tough double of the 200m fly and 400m freestyle, clocking in in times of 2:05.39 and 4:06.33 respectively.
Other female event winners for the night were:
- Women’s 100m freestyle: Aliaksandra Herasimenia (52.66)
- Women’s 50m breaststroke: Natalia Ivaneeva (30.27)
- Women’s 200m breaststroke: Daria Chikunova (2:23.73)
- Women’s 50m butterfly: Natalia Lovtcova (26.08)
Evgeny Rylov also had yet another impressive night, winning the men’s 200m backstroke in 1:49.80. Fellow Russian Mikhail Polishchuk also had an impressive swim, winning the men’s 200m free in 1:43.92, almost 2 seconds ahead of the field.

- Men’s 100m breaststroke: Kirill Prigoda (57.43)
- Men’s 100m butterfly: Yauhen Tsurkin (50.41)
- Men’s 50m backstroke: Robert Hurley (23.63)
- Men’s 50m freestyle: Evgeny Sedov (21.09)
- Men’s 1500m freestyle: Yaroslav Potapov (14:57.27)
In the final event of the night, the mixed 40x50m medley relay, it was Belarus who took the title, the team of Pavel Sankovich, Sviatlana Khakhlova, Ilya Shymanovich and Herasimenia clocked in in 1:39.25, more than a second ahead of 2nd place finishers, St. Petersburg from Russia (1:40.35).
